Xiao ren shu, Chinese picture books. They've been around since the 20s, and when first introduced contained stories or Peking operas. In the 80s the same format was used to distribute plays, comics, films and TV series – both local and foreign. There are a mixture of styles inside; illustrations, photographs, screen captures.
